Castilleja show

Texas Indian Paintbrush (Castilleja Indivisa) is probably my favorite wildflower.  It usually hangs out close to the bluebonnets, so in good years you have a really showy field of both salmon-red and violet-blue.  This year is no exception.  Here, I have hoped to convey this flowers’ sense of depth, both in color and the space they take up to put on their fabulous show.      Austin  03/27/2016
