The Muse is In

“How is it known – That which is beyond joy and sorrow. And yet embodied in both the joyful and the sorrowing?” —Katha Upanishad

Morning at the cottage

It’s in those hidden spaces
Sometimes the smallest of places
That harbor the passion
The soul ignites
Imagination speaks it wild and vivid language
That sometimes needs a translator or really good ears
Catch it if you can
It skirts around the corners, jumps on the carnival ride, likes
the game hide and seek
And usually lands right here in solitude.
